Modernist Icon’s collector has long since been interested in building a collection of post war and contemporary paintings.

At first the collection was heavily weighed on serigraphs and works on paper. As time progresses – and as budget allows – larger investments are made in collecting paintings.

Early on, the main focus of Modernist Icon was to collect and display works in all media which exhibit certain characteristics of geometric abstraction from its early modern interpretations through today.

However, in researching the works of various artists it has become a pleasure to start collecting very early works of these artists to exhibit how the artist’s eye evolves with time and experimentation.
